Played the beta, It sucks. Trying too hard to be LOL now.

How is it trying to be LoL? Your views on MOBAs are so small and jaded. DotA is completely different in playstyle, mechanics and team compositions.

You've really got me annoyed so I'm doing to hit you with a wall of text.

First off, the playstyle of DotA is a lot different then League of Legends. The League of Legend's current meta focuses on your standard Top, Jungle, Mid and Duo bot lane. DotA however, you can pretty much run whatever the fuck you want. Could be the same as LoL or you can run three top, two middle or three bot.

Mechanics of DotA are again different. There's denying in DotA and this makes it mechanically more challenging as you have to last hit your own creeps WHILE also last hitting theirs. Throw in harassing there and you've got three factors to League of Legends two.

Team compositions in DotA aren't actually too dissimilar to LoL, you have your tanks, auto attack carries and mages. Mages generally are very strong early game but fall off hard late game and that's where they build CC items such as Sheepstick (Polymorph).

Also once your Agility hero gets fed enough he can effectively 1v5 an entire team by himself. If you try do that in League of Legends unless the team is completely retarded and has no CC whatsoever you're going to stomped into the ground.

Also supports in DotA are very item independent such as Earthshaker. They are there for their CC and only CC, not damage.

Also the barracks (or inhibitors for LoL) do not respawn in DotA, once they're gone they are gone. This is very advantageous to whoever manages to get the first barracks as the wave will push naturally and if you can keep the enemy contained at another location, someone has to go back and defend it, giving you the option of a much easier 4v5 fight. Same thing applies to LoL but inhibitors respawn.

In summation League of Legends is a toned down version of DotA and is much more accessible then DotA is currently. Valve have stated that they are going to their own version of a cash shop where you can buy skins and announcer voices (Such as Dr. Isaac Kleiner) in order to compete with League of Legends because Riot has down a marvellous job at bringing out skins (I know because I have too many)

sc2 tonight!  watched the IPL final today,  TvT best out of 5,  was 2-0 after 2 games, FXO.Gumiho won it 3-2   so close :D
