 I am seeking expressions of interest, declarations of intent for clan member who are willing to play MechWarrior Online. MechWarrior Online is due for global beta release in Q2 (April) 2012 and due to the set up and community (ie: clan centred)  nature of the game i believe we as a clan should at least attempt to enter into the game as a unified group if possible. i would like if possible to know at least a rough estimate of persons interested in playing together, further discussions on whether to engage as a Merc unit or a household unit ingame can be taken up at a later date.

also had 3 guys from work pretty keen to have a game, not sure on if they want to join a clan or not, but we might be able to tempt a few extra strays in.

Yea I'm in seems like something to have a go out from time to time.

I am keen but am unsure as to if the game will have enough popularity in Australia to sustain numbers for games to be held or if we some how get lumped into some USA connection and die from lag.

Nice analogy, Chal.  One slight difference is that if you stick a well kitted out mech in water, it "cools down" quicker.  MrsSillen on the other hand "heats up" when I push her, fully clothed, into a cold body of water.

While we currently have numbers of interest to hold together ourselves, it could be worth keeping in contact with other Australasian groups, and if our numbers fall through, we could assimilate into them or something.

if you have preregistered your name on the MWO forum please add your "ingame Pilot name" to your post so we can add each other in the forums which will be taken across to the game upon beta release in April. also should i do a small write up on their forums Just to get our Name out there and let people know who we are.

How much is this game going to be? I remember playing Mechwarrior games about a decade ago. I've reserved my name, but will probably wait until  I get some reviews from you guys before going any further.

I use to play this online ages ago before Microsoft fucked it in the ass. It was great for a LAN if you had others interested and you picked STOCK mechs instead of LRM whores (but thats another story) I also had a great time sniping with a Vulture using light gauses and banging away on targets that I couldnt visually see but I had a target icon to line cross hairs over.

Was fun shit.
