Title: Iphone Post by: elcartel91 on 04/01/2012, 12:40 PM just out of curiosity how many of you`s have the iphone? and when a new one comes out every 4 months upgrade to the next one?
What drives you to get the latest iphone since its only some minor upgrades lol? Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Syklone on 04/01/2012, 01:05 PM For myself - I have an iPhone 4 - but that was given to me by my previous employer (yay for me) to keep when I left them.
Wife has one too (iPhone4). My son (3.8 yr old) has an iPhone 3 with no SIM. Uses it for reading books and educational games only off the wireless at home My other son, 0.8 yr old, I am still contemplating if he is old enough to use an iPhone 4s or if I should just get him an iPad2 with wireless only. j/k :P - he can stick to eating tissue paper and shitting his nappy for now. And as for upgrading, and this is my personal view, you would be a muppet if you upgrade every bit of technology that comes out and doing a great job of feeding your income to the ISP/phone execs of today. While I do find it odd that a phone contract is 12 to 24 months and that an iPhone or any phone can become obsolete after 6 months. You should, plan out what you have, so that is can do what you "Need" it to do and dont upgrade because some one else has it or, its only just another $5 each month onto a new 24months plan. Next Q ? Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Sillen on 04/01/2012, 01:19 PM Ignoring the last douchey statment phrased like a question, the questions were:
1) Who has an iPhone? Got a 4S for MrsSillen for Xmas. First Apple in my house since original II in mid 80's 2) Who upgrades their iPhone every time a new model comes out? see above For a second there I though Zoo over reacted then I read it again :thumbdown: I'm still very happy with Nokia 6300 Title: Re: Iphone Post by: elcartel91 on 04/01/2012, 01:21 PM not assuming just curious. on my fb everyone upgrades to the new gen when it comes out so thats what im getting at. just lookin for personal opinions thats all

Title: Re: Iphone Post by: YosimeteSam on 04/01/2012, 01:45 PM Have an iphone4. Gave my old HTC Desire to my daughter..15yr old ??? Don't ask. My last Iphone I had for 4 years. More than likely I will have this one till it dies...Then I intend to flick the fucken overpriced heaps of shit out the window...
I for one, have never upgraded to the latest phone/Iphone just because it's a new one. All the Apple Fanbois and gals are fucken retards spending more coin for a phone that has a compass and a better camera! Apple fucks them in the ass regularly. Same goes for the Ipad, that thing is laughable at best! Title: Re: Iphone Post by: DonutKing on 04/01/2012, 01:46 PM I have an iphone because they are the best phone on the market.
lol @ all android owners. I look after the boss' android thing at work (samsung galaxy I think) and its fucking terrible. I bought a 3GS second hand off ebay when the 4 came out. Unfortunately I dropped it on the concrete and it smashed the screen and couldn't be repaired. I got a really good deal from telstra for a new iphone 4 just before the 4s came out. I'm under no compunction to upgrade when a newer model comes along. I've had less than half a dozen phones in my lifetime, I upgrade when they break. (with the exception of my old nokia 3310 or whatever it is, that thing is still going and I keep it for emergencies). Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Syklone on 04/01/2012, 01:51 PM unsure if we have any iPhone fans as serious as this guy;

I don't understand how they are 'overpriced.' Get on a plan muppets.... i only upgrade when my contract runs out, and even then only if i need one... Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Alucard on 04/01/2012, 02:39 PM yes i have an iphone 4s i dont upgrade every time a phone comes out, i only do it when the contract is up and up till this phone i was always looking at nokia's
Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Scuppers on 04/01/2012, 02:49 PM I have a Samsung Galaxy and never looked back.. Go SoKo
Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Carples on 04/01/2012, 03:05 PM So do you let the boy swallow the tissues or extract them before consumption?
Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Carples on 04/01/2012, 03:06 PM I have rubberised phone and an ipod touch tapped together is better than an iphone, more features!

Of course most of us are on a plan..Fucking Cpt Obvious award right there. If you were to buy the phone outright it's close to a $1000.... Dumb kids i dun know. 8) Back to your box buddy...Din Din time is later on tonight :D I have rubberised phone and an ipod touch tapped together is better than an iphone, more features! I bet you also have hands free with that set up using 200mph tape, strapped straight to your head ;D Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Ice on 04/01/2012, 04:03 PM If its so obvious to go on a plan at what point does cost come into your argument then?
Just seemed to be a mute point that's all. More like cpt useless comment :) Title: Re: Iphone Post by: YosimeteSam on 04/01/2012, 05:06 PM If its so obvious to go on a plan at what point does cost come into your argument then? Just seemed to be a mute point that's all. More like cpt useless comment :) Ah it does come into it! Plans,the price on top for the phone! Service.... So from Cpt Useless to Cpt Obvious you can go blow a goat :) Title: Re: Iphone Post by: YosimeteSam on 04/01/2012, 05:11 PM unsure if we have any iPhone fans as serious as this guy; (http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/1616/damit.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/88/damit.jpg/) (http://mycoffeelounge.net/pixup/32988-1706.jpg) WTF Damit!!!!!! I knew you worked at Crapple, but I did not realise you were a Fan Boi!!!!!! :o :o 8) Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Virgil83 on 04/01/2012, 05:27 PM I have an iPhone 4S (which replaced a broken iPhone 4) and an iPad, wife has an iPhone 4, 3 kids with iPod touchs...
I agree with Donut, despite the competition, the Apple iPhone/iPod touch remains the best you can get your hands on... I tried Android, both a phone and a tablet and they blew goats... It's all horses for courses... iPhone works, good reception, does what I need it to do and has some useful apps... iPad is the same, I am glad I got a Wifi+3G one... as I use it when I am on the road as a laptop replacement (RDP into laptop via 3G) and server management tool... very handy... but if I didn't use it for that it would mostly be a paperweight... I don't think Apple stuff is overpriced on principle... in fact I think the iPhones are reasonably priced held against the top of the range Blackberrys, Android phones, etc... and the fact the iPhone is a better package (in my opinion) justifies the cost when looking at smartphones... but any smartphone is overpriced when all you really need is a phone to call and SMS on *shrugs* Title: Re: Iphone Post by: MrMagic on 04/01/2012, 06:07 PM Gave my old HTC Desire to my daughter..15yr old Firstly, whats your daughters name? 8) Three years ago I had an iphone 3G, never had a problem with it once the two year plan was up I gave the phone to my dad while I upgraded to a new plan which had the iphone 4. My girlfriend is currently useing the iphone 3G which is still in great working condition for a phone. Personaly i hate apple software as you are very limited to what you can do, but the phone itself is GREAT, never had a problem with it, has a great display and takes half decent photos. Phone has been THROWN at the concrete by some physico but it kept working without a single peice of damage, i hear people complain how they break so easily but i just dont understand them. (unless my phone was made with super ninja glue) I dont bother upgrading to the "S" verisons as they are only minor upgrades but I would upgrade to the future Iphone 5 whenever or if it comes out, no questions asked Title: Re: Iphone Post by: Ice on 05/01/2012, 11:27 AM http://foodbeast.com/content/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/if-apple-made-water-full.jpg
