Well Budh...I'm glad you asked!

For those who are unaware Budh here went on a little fishing trip in his tinny.  At some point he has beached the tinny on a submerged log, gone forward to have a look at the situation, tripped and managed to put a hook thru his hand...AND another thru his knee, resulting in a trip to the hospital and even stitches!

So Budh, to answer your question, there are two trains of thought here -

1. No you shouldn't have gone fishing, try something safer maybe like large game hunting with a .308 or something (please dont)

2. What you SHOULD have done is handed your son the mobile phone, grabbed yourself under the chin and held yourself up and had him take a photo as i'm pretty fuckin sure you're the biggest flathead you've ever caught lol.

On a serious note you can flatten the barbs on the hooks to make them easier to remove from you, kid, dog, and fish.

Or you can even indulge and by the barbless !!!
