Yep, chock the windows so they'll only open so far, remove any bushes near windows/sides of the house...anything that obscures the view from the street so they feel safe going over the side fence etc...buy a fake house alarm siren and light box and stick it to the front of the house, no need to buy real thing..just the fake box will deter 99% of crooks

this advice actually reminds me of an ad I saw targeted towards americans about this product that sprays this crazy misty shit around doors and stuff if they're broken into and will physically stop the burglar. Not sure if its legal here though, many people over in the states who have used it say its literally saved their businesses from being robbed

To add,

I have taken photos of all my wifes jewlry, and photos of every thing else valuable.

My missus is a bit over the top as she has gone as far as not just wall mounting the TV, but the fucker is hard wired to the wall. So if you take the TV, you CUT the fuckers cables off.

Also, we have the images put into a Drop Box and Hotmail so if we need to claim, we have proof. Followed by all documents in a safe bolted the the floor. Funny, a safe full of pictures and documents but no valuables in it.. this is due to it being so fucking annoying getting shit in and out that we just documented everything and put copies and original important docs in there.

Take the rest, we have it all covered :P
