I wouldn't trust the above technique anyways, if you don't slowly drizzle the oil in it will seperate overnight. It was what I was taught anyways, maybe I'm wrong. I found it interesting in the states that their mayo is a lot blander than ours, and they use it on sandwiches like we use butter or margarine.
