1 acre of cannabis produces as much paper as 8 hectares of trees, and you can't even get high from it. Cannabis regrows in 3 months, trees tak 80 odd years. Deforestation ftw it would seem

you can also use hemp to reclaim salt-land, it also produces more biofuel mass per kg than any other fibrous plant material.

i always wanted to know what the tax revenue is in a place like Holland, considering the tax intake for alcohol and tobacco is so high.

Thats the crazy thing. You can't even get high from the kind of cannabis that has all of the industrial uses. Deforestation is a big climate change issue. Cannabis is more productive and efficent way to produce paper than logging, but because it is in the same genus as a plant with psychoactive chemicals, it is illegal. It's like outlawing labradors because pitbulls are dangerous, but they're both dogs right?
Regardless of your opinion on prohibition, I don't understand why the lawmakers can't legalise just the industrial cannabis, and they can still keep prohibition on the psychoactive type.
