Title: The new ladder format
Post by: Splints on 23/06/2011, 03:34 PM
Just keeping you guys up to date on how the ladder format should look like.
Now this aint confirmed yet, but will most likely be the official format.

- 2-3 weeks between matches
- all matches set at start of season (ie plenty of notice)
- set one map per round - ie all matches in that round play on a particular map
- Consider a regular season and then a knockout finals series (eg six teams play 5 matches, top four play off for final (semis + Grand final) = ~15 week season.
- all matches are two rounds and no cache-based insurgent maps, only AAS/Skirmish maps
Will be a round robin tournament.

Only kits to be used.
Officer
Rifleman
Medic
Specialist
Auto Rifle
Grenadier

Maps.
AlBashra
Beruit
Fallujah West
jabal
Korengal
Lashkar Valley
Muttrah
Qwai
Ramiel

I try to keep you guys up to date as much as possible.

Sound like a good format and layout.
I like the all matches planned out at the beginning of the season and the fact they everyone plays on the same map for the same round.
Last year I think we played the same map every round (that's what it felt like ) not that I am complaining but if you get team who aces a certain map , it sucks.

Yeah we played beruit just about every round. Didn't ace every game and I enjoyed the map, but it got 'same old same old' pretty quick.

Last year all we needed was medic and auto rifleman and it was mayhem, we would shut down whole sections from their re-enforcements.
