i had to upgrade some ram the other day, to took the following steps remove batttery undo 3 screws from the battery housing 4 screws for the keyboard flip remove speaker panel 3 x screws remove keyboard install ram I did not continue to the fan 12 more screws and wifi and another panel :( Title: Re: Not a Fan of Cleaning Fans Post by: Virgil83 on 15/12/2010, 05:34 PM As a former Dell Field Engineer I got a huge laugh out of this...
Tell ya what... just try replacing a motherboard in, say, a Dell Latitude E5510 or something... THEN you'll know the pain of dealing with Laptops... The average new starter in the Unisys Dell contract team takes 2.5 hours to replace a laptop motherboard... after a few months, the average time to do the same task is around 40 minutes... you should see em work... very impressive!
