I had a laugh when i saw this. I can only imagine the language warnings they will need.

and here.

Spike TV, the network that brought us "Deadliest Warrior", will be delivering a new type of warrior series called, "Most Lethal," created by GRB Entertainment's vice president of development Tim Prokop. The new one-hour reality series will focus on 12 real-life warriors from the top levels of special operation forces (i.e., Green Berets, Navy Seals, etc.) and will have them go head-to-head in a grueling competition to determine who is the fiercest and the winner will be titled the “Most Lethal.”

“We are bringing together twelve of the best-trained combatants in the world for the most intense reality series on television,” said Sharon Levy, Spike TV’s executive vice president of original series. “The show will arm the viewer with information on training techniques and history of the special ops that viewers can’t find anywhere else.”

The potential competitors of “Most Lethal” will have to pass physical tests and demonstrate exceptional skills never before seen on any competition show. The challenges are going to be designed on real world combat scenarios that are meant to test everything from urban combat to evasion, from search-and-destroy to reconnaissance, and will include threat evaluation and threat elimination. “Most Lethal” will deal with all aspects of combat including the split second decisions that are critical to success and survival.

GRB CEO Gary R. Benz said, “It’s not enough for them to be fit and strong and great with weapons. We’re going to test every combat skill and tactical response in the book. Then, we’re going to throw away the book and find out what they learned on the battlefield.”

reminds me of a show called "SAS survival skills" where 2 of the guys faces are blurred and have to use fake names (and when they demonstrate falling down they always go away from the camera unlike the other guys :P)

For the first time in 25 years, the Australian SAS lift their
strict veil of secrecy to reveal what it takes to pass the most
physically challenging and psychologically demanding military
selection process in the world. The gripping, two-part documentary
follows the journey of 131 hopefuls who hail from the cream of the
military as they attempt the brutal 21-day trial. Most who start
will never finish. This is the ultimate search for warriors

No - you have it all wrong. It wasn't Chal, he blurred it himself so he could convince people it was him. You know, for the bragging rights?  :D

I watched the first episode of that. They get pushed fucking hard in it. They pretty much just keep pushing them physically and mentally until half the entrants have quit. Then they push them harder...

The big Dif between SASR (aussie) and Brit SAS is the psychological approach, the Aussies get smashed alot more with the mental shit straight off the bat.

A good thing to also note is that this is just a test, after they pass this test they do 9 months of basic training where there is a further approx 60% fail rate (so they can pass what you see, then get booted in that 9 month stint).  THEN they are on probation for a further 2 years and can be kicked again at any point during that time.

So nearly 3 years of testing and training and at any point can be kicked and not a full member of the regiment until that 3 years is done.

I don't know what its like being in the SAS or SASR, but I have to say that better be fuckin worth it. imagine doing about 2 and a half years and being booted

Most SAS "tests" are designed for failure.
It's about overloading them physically and mentally and seeing how well they cope with that stress and make tough decisions.

The "attack plan" exercise is a good example.

It sure does explain why we've got one of the best special forces in the world.
