Three months back we consulted a pediatrician as SillenJr's diagnosis re Autism was up for review.

The pediatrician recommended psychologist evaluation for IQ test etc and some kind of fragile chromosome blood test.

One less interesting finding was that Jr didn't have fragile chromosome (or whateve they were looking for).  One more interesting finding was that according to the results of the test, MrsSillen and I share a common ancestor in the last 200-500 years.

TLDR, my understanding is that in human female DNA, scientists have discovered a specific marker in the DNA chain that is passed from mother to daughter, and worldwide studies have found only 7 unique markers. Hence at some point there were only 7 human women.
